Our Finance & Accounting team is led by Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jon Ackerman, one of the company's co-founders. Jon has assembled a highly experienced team that takes a disciplined approach to financial planning and analysis, M&A and capital market strategies, procurement, reporting, compliance and risk management. This critical team provides the financial leadership that aligns business and financial strategies to help grow our business.

Donna Hymel

Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller

Donna Hymel brings to Moda more than 20 year’s F&A experience in Houston energy-related businesses.  Most recently Donna was with Enterprise Products Partners, where she served as Chief Financial Officer of Oiltanking Partners’ general partner from October 2014 until the completion of the Enterprise Products Partners and Oiltanking Partners merger in March 2015.  Donna previously served as Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Oiltanking Partners’ general partner beginning in early 2011.  She also served as Controller of Oiltanking Holding Americas, Inc. between 2001 and 2011.  Donna originally joined Oiltanking in April 1995 as the Controller for Oiltanking Houston, L.P., serving as Corporate Secretary and Treasurer for various Oiltanking entities and affiliate companies over the years.

Donna is a CPA and prior to joining Oiltanking practiced public accounting with a global accounting firm from 1988 to 1995 as an audit manager.  She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Professional Accountancy degree.  Donna and her husband, Chuck, have three children.

Ian Levine

Vice President, Finance

Ian Levine joined the Moda team in 2015. Prior to joining Moda, Ian was a member of the energy investment banking group at Deutsche Bank in Houston, where he focused primarily on providing advisory services to midstream, downstream and oilfield services companies. Prior to working for Deutsche Bank in Houston, Ian worked in Deutsche Bank’s New York office, where he specialized in debt origination for the broader natural resources sector.

Ian was first introduced to the co-founders of Moda while working on the sale of Oiltanking Partners to Enterprise Products Partners. He has executed numerous debt and equity capital market transactions and M&A transactions, and he has spent a great deal of his career evaluating strategic opportunities for oil and gas companies.

Ian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics at the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies with minors in classical and Italian studies from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
